EATING LESS: Weekend Seminar
with Gillian Riley
I feel so fortunate to have been running these seminars at the beautiful Violet Hill Studios since 1999.
I deliver a unique approach to taking control of overeating; my seminar participants have struggled with yo-yo dieting for years, and are looking for an alternative that is sustainable. Many are overweight but not all, as many slim people are looking for peace of mind around food, or for the ability to maintain a recent weight loss.
I developed this method through almost two decades helping smokers to quit, and find it's extremely helpful to describe overeating as an addiction to food - as well as being backed by solid research. In fact, the strategies I teach are based on the latest findings taking place in the field of neuroscience, and are backed up in every instance by reliable, published research.
The seminar is presented in a relaxed and non-judgmental environment, and there's no pressure to share any personal information. Groups are limited to about 12 so that everyone can get their questions answered, but some people prefer to simply sit back, listen and absorb.
I strongly recommend to everyone that they read one of my books before attending a seminar. My work is radically different from other methods available, and it's important to have some idea of what it's all about before spending the weekend seminar with me.
My main, complete version is EATING LESS: Say Goodbye to Overeating , published by Random House and available through all usual booksellers. I also have a short, easy-read version called BEATING OVEREATING: The Easy Guide . This one is self-published and only available through the www.eatingless.com and www.amazon.co.uk web sites.
A free, monthly e-newsletter is available on my web site. Please get in touch if you've got any questions.
